Sue finished typing her report to the Captain and then got up. Once she had, Jelena got up and the two women moved over to the mat.

Jelena pulled her hair band off, allowing her hair to tumble over her face. She snarled at Sue, who was casually standing with her hands on her hips.

"So, Susie", she said, "You think you can take the great Jelena Markov?"

"Of course I can", Sue replied, "She's just a tired old vet who ain't got the looks or the style any more".

Wow, Jelena thought, she can do the trash-talk. Perhaps she's got a career in the business - if she can take the cat-calls.

"Don't know about that, but I can teach a young girl manners. In fact, let's make this interesting. Whoever gets pinned five times first has to clean the cargo bay".

"That sounds like a deal, Jelly", Sue grinned, "How about they do it dressed in an outfit of the winner's choice? I already know what I want you to wear..."

Jelena thought. Now that would be fun.

"Agreed. Trust me, you'll be getting a new nickname after all..."

With that, the two women went for each other.

oOC: Ohhh sparring sounds like fun

IC

The two ladies went at it in the small arena they had made , around them were the crates of gym equipment all tied down to the deck plates , then there was Athena, the little APC that could , then there were the two con ex containers, One recently sealed after the weapons inventory and the other that contained the spare parts for the ship
From the ceiling hung three motorcycles, two looked conventional while the third was a high end model , to one side was Sophie, the faithful mule all gassed up and ready to go , Ryan had put a lot of TLC into her
Then there was the laundry area and next to it was a green house where Kundan grew fresh veggies for the crew to consume , the hum of the ships engine was in the back ground, even though it fluctuated a bit at times
It was the perfect background for a sparring match

The fight started off with Sue delivering a kick to Jelena's stomach, which was more of a surprise than a pain, but still sent the woman back. Sue made the mistake of following up with another one though, which allowed Jelena to grab the redhaired girl's leg, turn her over and fling her to the floor.

Jelena then dived on top of her, pinning her.

"One-nil to me", she said.

Cody walked into the cargo bay looking for somthing to occupy his time. He saw the two women sparring and decided:if there's ever a good spot to hang about, it's a fight. "I'll keep score!" Besides, two pretty girls wrestling... not a bad way to spend an hour.

OOC: I remember Mark is waiting for him, hmmm and Mark has no shirt, could be a reason for a friendly spar between the captain and the doc :>) We can work this out in character

As Sue got up and straightened her top for another round, she heard Cody's call. She quietly swore. They'd wanted to do some private sparring with a bet attached, not engage in a cat-fight for an audience. Mind you, it would be entertaining and raise morale.

Jelena, who had engaged in that sort of thing before, was, however, not in the mood. She walked over to the bench, grabbed her shirt and put it back on.

"We'll resolve this later", she said to Sue, "In private. The bet's still on".

With that, she headed back to her cabin, giving Cody two fingers as she left. Sue stood there in a now grimy tank top looking rather embarrassed. Jelena could be very short-tempered at times.

"Er, sorry about that", she said, "Mind you... if you're up for a bit of sparring... I'm game".

Mark stepped up to the ramp and lowered the main cargo ramp to act like a loading dock, He had met Dale and brought him down to over see the loading of his cargo right onto the big 5 ton mules , it would not take long with a power jack and everything on pallets
Mark and Dale stood to the side as everything was unloaded from around Athena , Brad was already looking at certain conduits making notes to the power feeds to the new belly gun , he had done those himself and they were first class

Sue and Jelena arrived in the cargo bay, having changed for a trip out. Jelena was wearing black trousers with a white vest top and a jacket tied around her waist, while Sue was clad in a denim jacket and jeans combo with a white blouse.

"Hi, sir", Sue said to Mark, "Which of us do you want guarding the ship first?"

Mark looked at the two ladies who were dressed ready for any action, a smile crossed his chiseled features

" Well I guess Sue could watch over the ramp area, then switch off with Jelena , I'll be remaining on board for the inspection, then I have to get some clothes more fitting for a captain "

Mark indicates the tight fitting black " Popeyes " T shirt he was given by Dale

Ryan had entered the cargo bay and now approached the group from behind.Sue and Jelena's outfits did not go unnoticed on him and he wasn't exactly sure how to act: he liked attractive women as much as the next guy, but these were his colleagues and thinking about them like that somehow seemed inappropriate. On the other hand he did have enough experience to know that if women dressed like that they did so to get noticed. But surely not by him.

Ryan sighed and tried to focus on the trouble at hand. Luckily for him there was enough trouble to fill his mind to the brim. "Hey everyone. Looks like we made it in one piece after all. Which is more than I can say for this ship in about ten minutes." Yup, the problems with Atlantis proved to be a perfect distraction. "Captain, you wanted to see me?"

Morgan arrived in the Cargo Bay shortly after Ryan. She surreptitiously glanced around to see if Brandon was there as well, but when she didn't see him, she approached Sue and Jelena.

"Hey guys. Did Mark assign watch duties yet?" She wanted to make sure both girls got some R&R, since it was never certain when their next break would be, so she fully intended to take at least one shift while they were planetside.

"Hey Morgan", Ryan answered with a smile. The fact that she and Brandon seemed interested in each other still amused him somewhat. He had known Morgan for some time now and had never before pictured her as someone to fall for a guy she had only just met so easily.

Since Morgan had things to discuss with Sue and Jelena and he himself had business to talk with the captain, he took a few steps to the side so they wouldn't be disturbing each other too much.

"Yeah", Sue replied, "I'm on first, followed by Jelly. We'll do two hours a piece. I don't know about you, but I want to catch some rays. Being cooped up in a ship doesn't do wonders for one's complexion".

Jelena had the same idea and was looking for a way to the top of the ship, or failing that a nearby rooftop.

Morgan nodded. "Ok, well I'll take third shift then. You should both get out and about while we're here, there's all kinds of fun trouble to get into on Persephone," she said with a grin.

"We'll certainly do that", Sue said.

As they talked, a man dressed in a brown uniform complete with forage cap on his head walked towards the vessel. He had a pistol holstered and was carrying a large bag.

Sue moved her hand closer to her revolver.

"Ah", Jelena said, "Maczarek Security. Wonder what they want?"

Morgan recognized the man's uniform - the head of Maczarek Security had been wearing something similar in her wave to Captain Lindemann - so she put a hand on Sue's shoulder. "Easy, tiger," she said with a grin. She glanced at Mark. She wasn't sure if Captain Lindemann had told him about their potential deal with Maczarek, but regardless, he definitely wasn't dressed for the occasion. She made an executive decision.

"Hello," she said as she approached the man, with a business-like smile. "I'm Morgan O'Doyle, XO of the Atlantis. Can I help you?"

"Yes", the man, or rather a cute young man with short black hair and even pimples replied, "I'm looking for Gunther Lindemann. Also, is that Jelena Markov over there?"

Morgan had been expecting the first question. "Unfortunately, Gunther Lindemann no longer serves as our Captain, and our current Captain..." her eyes flickered briefly to Mark and his Popeye's t-shirt. "Our current Captain is busy right now. Do you have a message I could pass along to him?" she asked him with a dazzling smile. She purposely ignored his question about Jelena. While it was possible he was just a fan from her cage fighting days, Jelena had instantly recognized him as being from Maczarek, so she may have had an unpleasant run-in with them in the past. Either way, Morgan would play it safe for Jelena's sake.

Brandon entered the Cargo Bay, looking a bit glum. His eyes and destination were set on Morgan, but she seemed to be talking to some young man, so he stopped a few steps from the stairs. Brandon's stomach flipped again when he noted how attractive the young man was, and he wondered just what the hell was happening inside of him to have himself all wound up like this.

Ryan was conversing with the Captain, obviously not ready to speak with Brandon, so Brandon turned his attention towards Jelena and Sue. They seemed to be dressed for a run into town as well, which only added to Brandon's melancholy. Had Morgan invited them into town as well?

Approaching them, he asked lightly "Who's the soldier?", looking towards the young man Morgan was speaking with.

"Yes", the soldier said, "I'm Guard Bradshaw and I'm here to escort your Captain to our headquarters for negotiations regarding you working with us. Colonel Maczarek will be unable to make the negotiations today, but Major Koizumi will take her place".

Morgan nodded, and kept smiling as she quickly thought about what she should do. Mark definitely was not in any condition to meet with Maczarek right now, especially since she didn't even know if Captain Lindemann had told him about the meeting. Not to mention their ship was falling apart and he needed to supervise at least the beginning of the repairs.

"Ok, unfortunately I think we may need to delay the meeting. I don't know if you saw our landing, but our we've had a minor emergency with our engine, and the Captain is currently working with the engineers to fix the problem. Would it be possible to move the meeting back by about an hour? That should give him enough time to give the engineers their orders and make sure the repairs will run smoothly in his absence."

Mark was chatting with Brad and had overheard his XO talking with the security officer from Maczarek, He was going over Brad's Cortex noting where the bad parts were, he was grimacing

" Scuse me Brad I have to address this gentleman from Maczarek "

Mark walks over to where Morgan and the security person was

" Hi there, I see you have had the pleasure of meeting my XO, I am Captain Chang of the Atlantis, Please excuse my attire, If we could move that meeting up and hour I will be properly dressed to attend and will have dispatched my repair orders "

Mark awaits the mans answer as he signs the way bill to receive payment for the gym equipment delivery
