E.V.A assembly area/Airlock

Once Mark cycled the airlock, the door slides open, As the new captain it was his responsibility to meet the person from the other vessel , He steps through and once he checks that the seals were good, he opens the outer hatch that led into the Silstars airlock

" Captain Chang of Atlantis, thanks for the help, I have Mr. Gunther ready for transfer, My steward has his belongings ready for hand over "

The young man in blue overalls responds

" Glad we could help, I'll have my assistant take Mr, Gunther's belongings "

Mark nods and indicates for Kundan to bring Gunther's stuff into the airlock, the assistant takes them and places them on another dolly in the Silstars airlock , this gave the Atlantis crew some last moments with Gunther

Like most others assembled, Ryan didn't know what to say. After a few seconds of thought, he said to Gunther: "Well captain", not thinking about the fact that Gunther no longer was their captain, "I guess this is goodbye. Uhm, don't be a stranger." He felt a bit awkward saying that, but he meant it: he hoped that this wouldn't be the last time he would see the captain who had taken him in not even that long ago and had given him a place to call home and a crew to call a family. He extended his hand towards his former captain to say farewell.

Sue and Jelena stood as their former captain prepared to leave. Sue decided to speak up.

"Thank you, sir", she said, "For the opportunity that you gave us. We won't let you down".

She offered her hand to Lindemann. Once she had shaken it, Jelena did the same. They were moved by the occasion, but neither of them were heading in the weepy direction - at the moment.

- Fire Duo

Brandon offered his hand.

"Yǒu kōngr cháng lái a, Captain. It's been a pleasure serving under you, sir."

He gave the old salt a military salute before stepping back behind the others.

Morgan waited for the rest of the crew to say their goodbyes, and then she stepped forward. She initially planned on giving him a handshake, but at the last minute she changed her mind and gave him a strong hug instead.

"Yílùshùnfēng, Gunther. I'll miss you."

She felt tears welling up, and quickly stepped back behind the rest of the group so no one would see her.

Morgan O'Doyle

Cody stood behind the others. He had jusat recently met the CO and now he was leaving. He felt like he needed to be there but, was hardpressed to find words to say. At the very least he'd be there for moral support.

Marked watched the crew which were now his crew and the reality of it all was now hitting home, Gunther was leaving and leaving him in charge of this group, and had handed him a boat that he loved, Mark stood there and watched HIS crew say their good byes , Emotions tried to rise to the surface, Mark almost wanted to run to his quarters, but there was also excitement, Now he owned a business venture, a boat, and now he was a captain of a pretty darn good crew, he only hoped that his crew thought the same way he did
Once the crew were done their good byes Mark quietly steps into the airlock with Gunther, both men embrace for the last time

" Mark she's all yours, take care of the crew, they're winners and I know you all will do well "

Tears were forming in Mark's eyes and a lump formed in his throat

" Will do sir, and thanks, thanks for everything, you'll be hearing about the lions of Guan Gong "

Mark watches as Gunther steps into the airlock of the other ship, then as the pressure doors close on both vessels, this gives Mark the chance to wipe his face on his rather tight shirt , he didn't want the crew to see tears in their new captains eyes , Darn the tight shirt tore, so Mark rips it off exposing his rather lean muscular build which he spots in the reflection in the glass

" Hmmph ..not bad "

Mark steps back into the EVA area and secures the airlock, then he signals Poppy

=" Poppy the airlocks on both ships are sealed, we can disengage once Silstar confirms with you "=

Then he realizes that he should get another shirt

" Scuse me folks, my shirt tore, Oh Morgan could you meet me in my quarters in 15 minutes "

Mark addresses the crew as he makes his way to the bridge hatch

" Alright folks lets set our sites back on Persephone, Ryan I need a damage report so that we can effect repairs to the boat , Whatever tasks you folks were doing before I need you to carry on with them, plus I think we should check the cargo and make sure it is alright , Supper is in about two hours , then maybe we'll have a movie courtesy of some equipment we acquired on Athens courtesy of Gunther, I think we need to relax after we finish our work "

Mark slots his access card and strides onto the bridge

OOC: If you have not written your farewell to Gunther, go ahead and do so , this will give us all closure on the Gunther era, Mike will be missed but the Atlantis will carry on

Ryan had seen plenty of crew members leave and the occupancy of the Atlantis had been scarcer before than it was now. But without Gunther on the boat for the first time the ship felt empty. He thought back on all the missions the captain had led where Ryan had been a part of.

The chief engineer's attention got drawn back to the present by Mark's commands. He's right, Ryan said to himself. We still have a job to do. He took a deep breath, then said: "Understood, Mark. Captain, I mean." Okay, that would take some getting used to. Although Mark had been his superior officer since he had first set foot on the Atlantis, the muscular man had never been that much for proper protocol and had mostly acted as a friend, not a superior officer. Gunther had of course always been a great friend too, but there had always been the proper distance as is required between a captain and a crew member between them. With Mark there was no such distance yet. Although it would probably only be a matter of time, it felt weird.

Setting aside his stray thoughts once again, Ryan made his way to the engine room to create the required damage report.

As the SilStar left, Sue made one last wave goodbye. Jelena said nothing and swiftly walked away, heading back for the cargo bay.

It was the end of an era; but not by any means the end of the Lions.

Sue suppressed a tear and then left to follow her comrade.

Brandon watched the others depart, but stated, "Catch up with you in a minute, Chief," to Ryan as the chief engineer exited.

With everyone else departing, he took the opportunity to reach out and touch Morgan's shoulder.

"You ok?" he asked gently.

Morgan had been waiting for the crowd to depart before she made her way back. She still had tears in her eyes that she was stubbornly refusing to let spill; when Brandon touched her shoulder she quickly brushed her hand across her eyes and smiled unconvincingly.

"Yeah, I'm ok. It's been a weird day. We'll catch up later, go help the Chief." She lightly grabbed the hand on her shoulder, let it linger there for a second, then turned and walked briskly through the hatch and to the lift.

Brandon felt bad for her. He knew what it was like to lose people that felt like family. Although he was frustrated he couldn't do more, he knew the best thing to do was to give her time.

"Aye aye, sir," he said with a wry smile, then left the area for the Engine Room.

Mark had met and was escorting Brad into the EVA area when the lights went out and he tripped on the hatchway into Brad , both men fall to the deck in the darkness, in frustration Mark goes to punch Brad and promptly punches the deck spitting out colorful metaphors
When the lights come back on Mark is lying on top of Brad

" Hey Easy big man, you could kill me "

" My boat is dying, my crew is in shambles, your the man we trusted, and look at us... adrift in the black, a lame engine, no power, and you want me to be easy!!! "

Marks hand goes around Brad's throat but the discipline kicks in , Mark could crush Brads neck, he tightens his grip as he glares into the man eyes, then releases it slowly , he stands to his feet and offers Brad his hand to help him up, Brad rubs his throat and coughs

" My apologies Brad, That was dishonorable to my art "

" Accepted Mark er I mean captain, I owe you and apologie big time, I seemed to have hired a saboteur that likes to take ships like yours and sell them for parts, There should be a Wrecker class vessel approaching soon that will try to take your ship by force, I need to talk to your chief, OH you may have to abandon your boat onto my Wrecker while we patch her up enough to land her, these guys were good, they infiltrated my business, targeted certain customers and then engineering their boats to stall in the black , these are the two people that I have fired from my business, the local lawman has had then handled ,,, Gosh Mark I feel like crap, I pledge to right what was wronged toward you and your crew , I just hope that the engine is OK "

Mark makes a call to Ryan regarding the power, then a ship wide

" Well lets head to the engine room, I know Ryan will be there, possibly swearing at the old girl "

Mark and Brad made quick work in moving the parts and tools into the EVA area, then securing them for landing , then Mark secures the airlock and informs the Wrecker that they could separate
Then it was run to the bridge with Brad in tow
