It was a hot sunny day at the docks, people bustled in and out of the containers and ships, ships of all shapes and sizes, a Firefly sets down to pick up cargo, and a courier speeds off, Good dogs were being cooked in the open sun and the smell wafted through the air, the open air of a reserved pad where an Iskellion Raider was to land, but the terminal next to the pad showed the ship as delayed , A truck sat nearby waiting for a shipment that this vessel carried, Gym equipment for a new local gym at the docks
All one could do was wait and take in the sights of this busy hub bub of humanity , Soon some tool trucks rolled up labeled Brad's Pick N Pull, Persephone division , this told the story of a boat limping in, Was it Reavers that got them, or Pirates maybe , all one could do was hope that they could land alright

OOC: Ok for anyone new to the game here is your entrance, just think of that scene from Firefly where they land at the Eavesdown Docks,

"Looks like they've had some trouble."

Damiel glanced toward the docking bay where his intended ship, and Captain, had yet to arrive. He looked back at the vendor who had offered him shade from the heat of the sun. As he would, given the taller man had the dressings of a Companion. It paid to be nice to them, even if you couldn't afford their services. Long wine-red robes sashed with gold and marked with the same color in the cloth covered Damiel from neck to feet. It was shorter in front than in back, and allowed him to wear his snug-fitting khaki trousers and over-the-calf boots so that they were noticeable. He didn't look armed, but looks could be deceiving. That had been one of the first major tenets taught to him by his ex-Companion mother.

"So it is," Damiel replied mildly, brushing back stray black hairs that escaped from the tie at the nape of his neck.

"Hope it's nothing serious," the vendor remarked casually as he went back to his business, leaving Damiel in the shade with a fan he liberally applied in cooling off. Damiel merely nodded once, frowning with more than a little frustration. He was already in trouble just by being here. He'd sold his shuttle to have enough cash on hand to tempt any would-be Captain into letting him board and stay on with his work. He wasn't desperate to be off Persephone, not yet at least, but it wouldn't take long for the Governor's eyes and ears to pick up on Damiel's presence. Then things might get sticky in a hurry.

And though he'd been told that the Atlantis was a good ship, with a fair Captain and a good crew, Damiel now wondered if that would be enough. If the ship had been attacked, or was so far gone it would have to be scuttled...

His waving fan sped up a little in his growing anxiety, just before he caught the motion and slowed it once more. He would face that problem when he arrived at it. To worry beforehand simply made no sense.

Soon some EMS vehicles pulled up, it was a standard procedure should the boat not land, but create a new crater where the pad was , soon the area was bustling with ground crew hoping that the Atlanits pilot had some balls and could land the stricken vessel

Vehicles of various types began to swarm, and a klaxon began to go off in the vicinity. It caused many people to pause in their actions and look over in the direction of the empty bay.

"She's coming in hot," the vendor said from down the way a bit. "That's fair warning for folks to get their head's out their rears if they want to stay alive. Ship comes in hot, it may not make it to landing."

"Or land somewhere in the middle of us," a customer near Damiel agreed, warily scanning the air.

As the ship came into view, he pointed it out to a woman nearby and they moved away hurriedly. Damiel stayed put, outwardly placid, but did keep an eye on the watchful vendor. If that man began to run, then Damiel would do the same.

It was all for naught. The Atlantis managed to set down without incident. The klaxon blared another few moments before shutting off. People began to watch the Atlantis to see what was going to happen next, or simply moved along on their business. Damiel slowed his fanning down and released some of the built-up tension that he hadn't realized he'd had in him. And you want to leave in that thing? he chided himself ruefully.

The Atlantis rolled up to her berth and the assist mule then unhooked from her nose gear and rolled away, shortly thereafter the main cargo ramp lowered from her front to about 4 feet from the ground, then a five ton mule backed in under guidance of a large muscular man, Next to him was another muscular man in dreadlocks, from what he wore he could not be the captain, his T shirt was very tight and had the name " Popeyes " on the back, he must have had 22 inch arms since the sleeves were stretched over them, add to that his pants looked well worn, and dreads? , both men were tall as well, then there was a third slim built one looking at the workings of the ship
Upon closer look the boat looked well maintained, the exterior finish was an unusual dazzle black chrome, the inside of the cargo bay looked well kept, maybe they just had one of those breakdowns , even the high end cruisers had those

Damiel took a breath and let it out slowly. Squaring up his shoulders, he snapped shut the hand-fan and tucked it into his belt-sash. It was time to make an appointment to see the Captain of the ship - Lindemann, he'd been told. He'd been watching as people started unloading the ship, and a military-looking man (attractive to say the least) had walked inside. He took his time so as to not rush anything, sure that once he arrived at the bay, he'd be spotted fairly quickly.
