Shi Lang CV
(Image from Shipbucket, click to zoom in)
Summary
China's first aircraft carrier, Shi Lang used to be named Varyag (Viking) and was intended to be the second aircraft carrier of the Admiral Kuznetsov class. However, construction was halted when the USSR collapsed and the incomplete hulk was sold by Ukraine to China in 1992, ostensibly to be come a floating casino. It was completed and revamped by the Chinese.
Intended as a research platform for future Chinese carriers, the vessel has far less in terms of armament than its brother vessel, particularly in terms of defensive weaponry. The air wing will reasonably effective when finished, but as yet the J-15 is only in service in limited numbers, so a large number of attack helicopters are currently embarked.
If you've got a decent carrier air wing, you've got a good chance of cracking this particular nut (a nut that will be heavily escorted), but not advised for a solo aircraft.
