She saw Jelena, dressed in her tracksuit bottoms and a T-shirt walking past their room, a scowl on her face. She didn't even seem to notice them.

Brandon couldn't help but groan a bit when she broke their kiss. He knew it had to end at some point, and really for him even if they had kissed for an hour it would have seemed too soon. He understood her desire for discretion. She was the XO now, after all.

He couldn't stop smiling at her as she spoke, his head turned slightly so that he could see whoever it was who was coming. After Jelena passed, he turned back to her and lifted up the hand she wasn't holding, putting a finger to her lips to stop her speaking. He still had that giddy grin on his face. As he spoke, he squeezed her hand gently.

"I want to hear it all. I want to know everything about you. Just not all in the next five minutes."

And then he kissed her again before she could speak again, holding it for a few seconds before breaking it himself.

"And I definitely want to do more of that."

Morgan laughed. "That is about the only way to shut me up," she said in between kisses. After a few moments she broke away again, and got up to shut the door. "Hopefully that will minimize distractions."

Before returning to Brandon, she went to the table beside her bed and picked up the bottle of liquor he had given her earlier. "Shall we toast to many more evenings like this one?" she asked, raising an eyebrow mischievously.

He watched her walk to the door, finally openly appreciating her figure instead of stealing glances. His heart was beating hard in his chest as she closed the door and returned to the table at her bedside, but it threatened to leap out of his chest when she gave him that look. Reaching over, he picked up the two glasses that had been sitting next to the bottle and held one out for her.

"Now how could I refuse a proposition like that?"

With the drinks poured, he clinked his glass on hers. The liquor warmed his throat, tingling all the way down to his belly. He breathed out, "Wow, that's good."

His stomach was in knots. He had played this moment in his mind over and over before today. Now that it had come, it wasn't going anything like he had thought - it was much, much better. He wasn't sure what to expect next.

Morgan grinned as they clinked their glasses together. She barely tasted the liquor - she was too busy watching Brandon over the rim of her glass - but it left a comfortable warmth in her stomach and brought a rosy color to her cheeks.

She sat back on the bed next to Brandon, and absently twirled the stem of her glass between her fingers. She had no idea what to do or say next, had no idea what Brandon was thinking. Everything was going so well, and she was terrified of ruining the moment.

Brandon reached over and took her hand in his. He was waiting, but after a few moments of silence he realized she was waiting for him to make the next move.

He was conflicted in his mind - his natural instinct was to rip off their clothes and have at it. That was, of course, tempered by his reason, which was telling him to take it slow and let things develop on their own.

He set his glass back down next to the bottle of liquor, and then reached over and did the same with hers. Turning back to Morgan, he reached out and caressed the side of her face, leaving his fingers brushing her hair as he moved his hand down to her shoulder. He moved forward and kissed her again, gently pushing her back onto the bed - if she'd let him.

Morgan fell back gently, putting her arms around Brandon's shoulders so she could pull him down with her. Her heart was beating so hard and fast that she was sure he could hear it. She was fighting a similar urge to just tear off their clothes, but she forced herself to relax, to slow her breathing, to let Brandon lead her. She was so used to being in charge and making all the first moves, but her previous experiences had been with people she never intended to see again - she wanted this to be different.

She ran her fingertips gently down Brandon's back, then let her hands rest on the small of his back for a moment before pulling him in closer, trying to subtly convey that she was ready for him to make the next move.

Brandon could feel her acceptance of the situation. It all felt so right. He kissed her lips, her face, her neck. He let his hands wander, exploring her as she pulled him closer to her, their bodies pressed close together.

He was excited and nervous - it had been a very long time since he had been intimate with anyone. He was afraid he may start shaking at any moment.

He began slowly removing her clothing.

Morgan allowed Brandon to undress her, and then quickly worked on getting his clothes off of him. She deftly slid her hands under the hem of his shirt and slid it up over his head, before moving on to his pants. She was feeling impatient, nervous, giddy, the flow of adrenaline through her body was comparable to the moments before a battle. And, just like before a big fight, her thoughts were focused on what was coming next, savoring each second of sweet anticipation.

Then the anticipation was over, and as she pulled him into her, her mind was consumed by the present moment only.

Brandon's nervousness faded away as Morgan reciprocated. Now there was just raw unbridled passion. He snaked one arm behind her back, holding her close to him as they found their rhythm. His lips brushed hers, nibbled at her ear and neck. He stroked her hair and body with his free hand. He luxuriated in the feeling as he filled her completely. He knew it wouldn't take him long, so he forced himself to think of other things, like fixing the engine or the spacewalk. Her scent, her softness, her absolute gorgeousness threatened to obliterate any other thought and overwhelm him. He looked into her eyes, asking questions with his expression. Harder? Gentler? He wasn't sure if his limited experience would be sufficient to please her.

He gritted his teeth, holding back the flood that threatened to cascade forth. He would wait for her. He wanted Morgan to complete this journey with him.

OOC: We will fade to black as the engine backfires up her intake

The camera fades to black, Brandon is not aware of the engine having some fits since he did not carry a cortex like Ryans and his radio was off

OOC: For Brandon and Morgan's sake, I'm going to assume they were finished by the time the engine backfired Wink

IC: Morgan was gently stroking Brandon's hair as they lied in each other's arms, enjoying the afterglow, when suddenly the ship lurched, throwing them both onto the floor in a tangle of bedsheets.

"Wǒde tiān! Are you ok?" she asked Brandon, as she scrambled to get up and make her way to the comm unit in her room. Still stark naked, she called the Bridge.

="XO to the Bridge, what the hell just happened?"=

OOC: Aw, just when I was getting into it. Er, so to speak. Twisted Evil

IC:
Brandon landed first, with Morgan coming on top of him. He let out an "Omph" as the wind was knocked out of him. He struggled to his knees as she moved to call the bridge. He was gulping air, getting his breath back. "Fine" he wheezed. Seeing that she was ok, he braced himself on the bed and half stood, staying on one knee. His face was wrought with concern, and he began locating his clothes in case he was needed in the engine room.

What he spotted first were the two glasses, now both shattered on the floor, and an upturned bottle of liquor that had dumped half its contents, but luckily wasn't broken. He picked up the bottle and stoppered it, then placed it back on the floor so that it wouldn't come crashing down if there was another lurch.

Since it seemed like nobody on the Bridge was going to answer her, Morgan began hunting for her clothes so she could go up there. She heard Mark's ship-wide PA announcement, and felt a twinge of annoyance that he hadn't answered her directly or let her know what the situation was.

"I'm going up to the Bridge to see what's going on," Morgan said to Brandon as she finished buttoning up her shirt. She glanced at herself in the mirror, grimaced at the sight of her tangled hair, and quickly ran a brush through it "Want to come with me? Or are you going to the Engine Room?"

Then the lights go out and the emergency lights come on followed by Marks voice

=" Attention all hands, we have lost primary power and are running on back up, looks like supper is postponed, please stay alert for further instructions "=

The Mark's voice crackles through the comm unit, it looked like the channel that was isolated from the bridge to her room was acting up, Morgan could not make out the words

"Gao yang jong duh goo yang!" Morgan shouted as she banged on her comm unit, trying to make out what Mark was saying.

She turned to Brandon, smiled apologetically, and said, "On second thought, you should definitely go to the Engine Room and see why this piece of fei-oo can't seem to last more than half a day without falling apart. I'll see you soon."

She kissed him quickly and then hurried out of her room and headed toward the Bridge.

Brandon dressed at the same time as Morgan. His curly hair was just as tousled as usual, but he ran his fingers through it anyway.

He was about to say that as much as he'd love to go to the bridge with her, he was likely going to be needed in Engineering. Of course, she came to that conclusion as well. Even the problems with the ship weren't enough to foul his mood, but he tried hard not to smile at her as their thoughts were one.

He returned her kiss, and replied, "You'll definitely be seeing me soon."

He walked with her to the Day Room, and as they did he added, "I'll take a look at your comm unit once the rest of the ship is sorted out." When they reached the stairs, they parted ways as she headed down to the bridge and he headed aft towards Engineering.

When Morgan arrived in her quarters, she immediately locked her door and started up the shower. After a moment's consideration, she opened her door again. It wasn't modest, but her comm unit was acting up, and she didn't want to be unreachable. If there was an emergency in the next five minutes, the crew would just have to deal with walking in on a naked XO.

After her brief shower, Morgan quickly dressed in her usual black shirt and black cargo pants. She wouldn't have time for her hair to air dry, but she didn't own a blow dryer. She thought about seeing if any of the other female crew members had one, but she figured they were all off the ship now. She tied her hair up in a long ponytail as a compromise, then went about the process of re-arming herself. She and Mark may be going to Maczarek as potential contractors, but she knew that place would be crawling with heavily armed guards, and if things got hairy, she wanted to be prepared. She holstered her twin pistols at her sides, tucked away her snub nosed revolver into a hidden pocket sewn into the inside of her shirt, and slid two short knives into straps on the inside of her combat boots.
