Been addicted to this song since you first passed it on via e-mail!

Re: Fun things you've found
Heehee, thanks. Hey, did I notice your facebook page had something about a new word you'd learned? Octopodes, I think?
From time to time I consider signing up to one of those 'word of the day' things to get sent cool new words to my email. :-)

LOL, I don't sign up for those "Word of the Day" things, I come up with my own! Everytime I find a new or interesting word (or if I learn something new about a word I already know) I like to share it on Facebook! ^_^
But yes, Octopodes (Ock-top-id-ees) is the proper Greek plural of Octopus! Octopusses is ok since English scholars a few hundred years ago said "and we add an -es to it" whereas Octopi is completely wrong since English scholars a few hundred years ago also said "and because it's Latin" *facepalm* "we take away the -us and add on an -i" but because English scholars a few hundred years ago were wrong and nobody caught it until recently, Octopi has become acceptable (acceptably wrong, lol) but is the least correct of all.

I can imagine Firefly LARPing wouldn't feel as ridiculous as some other LARPing I've seen video of...

I love how they made it look so much more epic in the video than it could possibly be in real life. I mean you think about it, put yourself in their shoes and take away the camera...it's a bunch of people running around in blue hoping to make sahelo with other people of the opposite gender.
I loved the end though with the guy having sahelo with the flower, that made me LMAO!

Re: Fun things you've found
Deborah and me have had a notion for a while to host a Firefly LARP up on Dartmoor which we'll do some day.
Meanwhile, for your viewing pleasure, here's a fun thing I found:

Re: Fun things you've found
That was the best part of the whole thing, but I thought the one right before that was pretty hilarious. The music was building up then stopped suddenly - "Hey!" "WTF?" lol

Is it worth copying this thread across to the main site, or shall we just retain the archive here?
